Maps from the 19th century show the presence of vineyards on this land which were called “vignis”. The growing system is guyot and double guyot type on rows exposed north to south. The proximity of the sea promotes a typically Mediterranean weather with strong temperature ranges between night and day that help the slow maturation of grapes. The alluvional plain is formed by stones and rocks and are particularly recommended for the vines.
Vine varieties are of two sorts. Red: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Refosco dal peduncolo rosso. White: Chardonnay, Friulano, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Verduzzo Friulano e Prosecco.
